It’s Time to Put Families First Again
A Navy veteran, father of seven, and small business owner, George knows what families are facing, because he’s living it too. He’s running to lower costs, strengthen schools, support veterans, and restore safety with practical, no-nonsense solutions that put people first.

About George
I’ve lived in the Spokane area since 1980, growing up in the same communities I’m now asking to represent. My wife and I built our life in Newman Lake, where we raised our seven children and stayed deeply rooted in this community.
During my 21 years in the U.S. Navy, my family and I moved often, adapting and learning how to build stability wherever we were sent. That experience shaped how I lead, taking care of people while staying accountable to get the job done.
After retiring, I came home and resumed coaching and refereeing local basketball, staying connected to students and families and seeing firsthand how things are really going.
Like many families, mine is feeling the pressure right now. Costs are up, and doing the right things—working hard, raising a family, running a business—doesn’t go as far as it used to. That’s not unique to us; it’s happening across District 4.
What I hear from people isn’t complaining—it’s frustration that their effort isn’t being matched by the decisions coming out of Olympia.
I’m running for the Washington State Legislature to turn that reality into action—focused on real solutions that make life more affordable, strengthen our communities, and restore common-sense leadership.
Solutions to the Problems We’re Living
Economic Growth & Supporting Those Who Served
Every family I talk to is feeling what we feel at home—everything costs more, and it’s harder to keep up. As a small business owner and a father of seven, I don’t need a report to see it—I live it.
I also understand how quickly policy decisions turn into real costs for families and employers. That includes the impact on those who have served our country. After 21 years in the Navy, I know what veterans give up—and how often they return home to more barriers instead of support.
I will oppose new taxes, work to roll back policies that drive up costs, and fight for practical support for veterans—including access to care and meaningful relief where it makes sense.
The goal is simple: reduce pressure on families and make Washington more affordable and fair for those who have served—and those still working to get ahead.
➤ Reduce cost pressure on families through affordability and predictable policy
➤ Cut red tape that slows small business growth and job creation

Education: Strengthening the Basics
Families are seeing the impact of a system that has drifted from the fundamentals.
I’ve spent years around students—as a Navy recruiter working in every high school in the Spokane Valley, and as a referee seeing what students are capable of when expectations are clear. The problem isn’t the kids—it’s a system that isn’t consistently focused on the basics that build success.
I will work to restore strong academic standards, reinforce reading and math fundamentals, and ensure schools prepare students for real life—not just shifting benchmarks.
➤ Refocus classrooms on reading, writing, and math at every grade level
➤ Strengthen accountability so parents understand school performance
Public Safety: Restoring Order & Security
People across Washington are noticing a change in safety—and it’s affecting how they live, work, and raise their families.
I hear it from parents, small business owners, and neighbors. Concerns about property crime, drug activity, and a lack of accountability are becoming part of everyday life.
Communities can’t thrive without safety. We need a system that supports law enforcement, ensures consequences for repeat offenders, and focuses on prevention and accountability so families can feel secure again.
I will support policies that restore order, protect victims, and make public safety a priority across our state.
➤ Increase accountability for repeat offenders
➤ Strengthen support for law enforcement staffing and tools
